Alex is a freelance new media journalist who has produced content for both national and local media titles. He specialises but is not limited to sports reporting, having previously covered Millwall Football Club for the South London Press in considerable depth. In the past, Alex’s articles have been published in the The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Mail and the News of the World, among several others. He is currently studying English Literature at Cardiff University.
Alex is particularly interested in social media – and consequentially, the link between the internet and the spread of information. While the concept of promoting content via services such as Twitter and Facebook is hardly a novel one, countless news organisation still fail to use social networking and microblogging sites to engage with their readers. You can see how Alex makes the most of social media by following him on Twitter.
